Digital Storytelling
I created a story on storybird. I used it as an intro to life science. I thought using already made images would be helpful but I struggled with making it relevent to my class units. I think I will give Zooburst a try after looking at Linda's story board as I can see using it in that way to be helpful in my class. This could be helpful when I have students write a book to help explain what they have learned in different units. Again for that I think that it may be easier for students to do that with the Zooburst where they can add their own images that relate to the topic. http://storybird.com/books/welcome-to-life-science/

ReplyDeleteChristine,
ReplyDeleteThat was sure fun to read! I'll have to give Storybird a try too. Anything creative like this - the kids will eat it up! (Even if food and drink are not allowed:) PS - Minaki Muskie is me too - so if you see a comment under that Blog name in the future, it's me!
Great story. I agree that zooburst seems easier to use when you are trying to make your story about something specific. However, the pictures are cooler in Storybird.
ReplyDeleteI got the message, "This storybird has been made private,"
ReplyDeleteso I couldn't view it. Maybe I did something wrong. At least I recognized you by your photo!
